Why should you get to know theoldbroiler?

If you’re looking for conventional, I’m not it apparently . . . . friends tell me I was always slightly “off the wall”. This I take as a compliment, having - I trust - more to do with a designer's way of thinking and inherent mild eccentricity than anything else . . .

I’m in a creative/technical profession which I love . . . bit of a workaholic . . . not having taken the usual career path, I'm building up my practice at the wrong end of my career. . . just when my friend are beginning to put their feet up.

For a spot of relaxation I grow vegetables and fruit, read, cook for friends and throw the occasional large party. Like live music, but at home I need silence with the occasional input of R4. Haven’t watched the TV since the Pope died . . . but loved ‘Green Wing’, that really is 'off the wall'.

. . . and as to my photo . . . a mere reflection of myself . . . not really the best idea to do the hand-held digital snap and consequent fish-eye view, but no time at present for subtle lighting and studio shots!

She describes her ideal match thus:

A man who is at ease with himself and comfortable in his own skin: most importantly, he must have a twinkle in his eye. He would be bright, intelligent, interesting, have a sense of fun and make me laugh . . . ideally, ‘tall, dark and handsome’ ( . . . don't take me too literally here), he would be a creative person, sensitive and with his own absorbing interests. It would be good, too, if he has a close and loving family . . .
